The Heart Punching itself, the valves cheering.A rare kind of cardiac tumour called atrialmyxoma usually starts in the left atrium of the heart. Although it is usually benign, its location and size can result in serious symptoms and problems.A 35-year-old male patient came to see me and had a history of syncope.There was a mass in the left atrium on the echo. This is an uncommon condition that causes abrupt cardiac death.When we discovered this early on, the mass was surgically removed.The patient is now stable.
